REDBOURN CIRCLE

OVERVIEW
This is an ‘OO' gauge continuous triple loop layout designed with young users in mind. There is a through station with a platform, two engine sheds and some other buildings. Sidings will take trains towards the engine sheds. The points enable the operator to switch running between the loops. It is very popular on our junior nights when children of all ages and abilities can have a go at being an engine driver.

The layout, which measures 6’ by 4', was originally constructed by club member Richard Noel.

TRACK
The track is Hornby code 100 with Hornby points operated by Hornby point motors.

MOTIVE POWER
The layout is suited to both steam and diesel locomotives carrying passenger and goods traffic.

OPERATION
Hornby analogue transformers are used with controllers for each loop.
